Whenever you are in any given application and you click Save As…, you may have noticed that in the Save As Box, there are some handy locations that are listed on the left hand side. The Default Locations are: My Recent Documents, Desktop, My Documents, My Computer, and My Network Places. This guide will show you how to customize these locations to whatever location you want.

Windows XP includes a calculator that I would describe as being extremely basic barebones calculator. Microsoft does have a free calculator upgrade, to jazz up the look and give the calculator more functionality. So if you are sick of the drab, basic calculator, then download the upgrade and super size your calculator.

One of the things that I always used to neglect to do, was update Office regularly. Office is a Microsoft product, and thus it integrates into your computer. While this is a huge plus for the user, it also creates a big security risk and a window for hackers and viruses. Microsoft releases updates regularly, however, if you don’t go to the Office Update, then you can’t get the fixes (office update is separate from windows update). MS has released another update that adds a new option to your control panel. What is it? It’s a Color Panel and it simply provides a centralized place for you to manage and edit your color settings.
