Or Close Ever get annoyed by those system beeps (the ones that sound like they are coming from a primitive 1980’s computer)? Well, they can be turned off (thank goodness!). To turn off system beeps, follow this guide… Disclaimer: Warning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. ive done this and my system still beeps i have an ati radeon x850 and it beeps and tells me my video card is too hot but i know that it is not. i have not overclocked it either. is there another string that this beep would be in?

No. You will not be able to hear the beep codes. I think you are referring to the Boot error Beep codes. This guide will turn those off (for those that want a silent PC), but if there is a problem booting and you want the beeps back simply Clear the CMOS (if you don't know how to clear the CMOS and you are concerned about losing the boot error beep codes, then I wouldn't suggest turning off the beeps on your computer)

If you turn these beeps off will you be able to hear the motherboard beep codes if there is a problem with hardware?
