Regedit  Registry  shortcuts  xp tweak

Image If you are a bit more experienced with Windows XP, you probably use the right click on your mouse quite a bit. Personally, I use the right click all the time (my motto is, when in doubt with what to do, try right clicking). While the standard menu options are really all you need, its always nice to make things a bit easier. This guide will show you how to add the option Copy To Folder… to your right click menu.

Disclaimer: Warning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. Modify the registry at your own risk, Every effort has been made to ensure that registry edit instructions are correct and safe. Before beginning this guide, please do this

Click backupreg_01.jpg,

then backupreg_02.jpg

Type regedit then click backupreg_03.jpg

Navigate to the following key:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers

Then on the left side, right click on the folder ContextMenuHandlers and select New then Key. Name the key Copy To

Now, double click on the new created key and then on the right side, double click on Default and give it a value of: {C2FBB630-2971-11d1-A18C-00C04FD75D13}

Reboot your computer. Now when your right click on any folder or file, you should now see a Copy To Folder option.

adding a program icon in right click menu .
written by akash pipara, November 28, 2007
i am a user of trend micro office scan client . previously it would show an icon in the right click menu as 'scan with office scan client'.
but when i updated to a newer version of office scan this icon disappeared .
Now i have to go to start then search for the trend micro folder in the all programs list .and then search the folder in which the file is located , or drag and drop the file in it's scan box. is there any way to get the icon back . besides this setting above is just fine .

Hey, is there any way to add a 'move to folder...' option also?

I had both of those on my last computer but I can't remember what software program included that.

I love this, thanks. Is there a way to make a key in the right click menu and it has like a website, then you click click, and click the website name, then it goes to the site? Thanks!

Just export the key and give it to your friends. When they double-click the exported key it will install itself.

Great FIX I love this so much, I used to love this feature using the OLD Powertoys addons I am glad it is back.

What else can you add to this menu?
And how can you do it?
