boot  Boot Disks  downloads  start up

Image Windows XP does not ship with a bootable set of media other than the CD. Fortunately Microsoft provides downloads which allows you to create boot disks for Both XP Home Edition and XP Professional Edition (please note that you will need 6 Blank Floppy Disks).

You can download the boot disk creator program from here:

Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2 (SP2):

Need Floppy to boot
written by Horace A Smith II, November 25, 2007
Try to make "Floppy" the first device on the boot list. You will be able to do this by pressing "Delete" during setup. Then going into the booting order and changing it. ( only if you are talking about a desktop model). I find your problem Odd because most if not all units boot floppy first.

I can't get the floppy drive letter (Z) to switch to (a) to run the disks. Tried most things. Any link ideas?
