Keyboard  On Screen Keyboard  OSK

Image Feature Focus: Yes this update might seem a little trivial, but there is a feature that is included with Windows XP that I bet most of you have never noticed or used, the On-Screen Keyboard. If you are like me and have limited space for your workstation (especially if you are limited on space for your keyboard) this feature is very handy.

I have to admit that even I neglected this feature for quite awhile (which was not intentional, because I really didn’t know this feature existed).

The On-Screen Keyboard allows you to type without a keyboard or in my case type without having to drag out my keyboard (which in my workstation setup, the keyboard sits on the side of the tower).

To get to it, Click backupreg_01.jpg,

then backupreg_02.jpg

Type osk then click backupreg_03.jpg

Alternatively you can access the On-Screen Keyboard by going to Start, then All Programs, then Accessories, then Accessibility, then On Screen Keyboard

And?

This seems kinda pointless: It's still painfully slow to type anything unless it's two or three letters long, and even then it's better just to go ahead and use your keyboard. I suppose it's kinda useful for a touchscreen, but... there's a reason they include keyboards with computers.
