I have to warn anyone away from the idea that GOM Media Player is good: All it did was mess with my Google Desktop toolbar (made it go insane) and messed up my attempts to run flash applets (apparently it believes left click is ALWAYS pressed)

Thanks for creating this list! I've always have a hard time choosing between anti-virus, anti-spyware, and media player softwares, so this is very helpful.

I find CalcIt (www.calcitapp.com) to be a very handy tool. It is a calculator/expression evaluator/scripting/programming tool all in one, as simple or as complex as you wish to use it. It's very small and fast for what it does.

Hi, personally I think Avira AntiVir PE is not a bad free antivirus (my only grievance being a slow update server), and would be my pick before AVG (highly overrated IMO).
Also, IZarc seems to be an excellent File Archiver/Compression program. Write comment
