Autorun  services

Image The indexing service is a service that creates a database of all files stored on your computer. This service hogs a lot of system resources and is generally not needed (the only time it is ever somewhat helpful is if you perform lots of searches). This service is set to Automatic by default. To disable it, do the following:

Click backupreg_01.jpg,

then backupreg_02.jpg

Type sc config cisvc start= disabled then click backupreg_03.jpg

You should then see a black window pop up and disappear quickly. That is normal.
Why? When you do a Run command, you are actually entering a DOS command in, so to execute the command, windows automatically opens a command prompt and runs the command given then it shuts down
