Or Close Restarting your computer just got easier. Instead of having to click on your start button, click Shut Down, then select Restart, you can now have a button on your desktop that will restart your pc once you double click on it. This is a handy little trick; you can put a restart button on your desktop. On your Desktop, Right-Click then select New then Shortcut ![]() For Type the location of the item type shutdown -r -t 0 ![]() Click Next, then enter a name, such as Restart My PC ![]() (Note: If you'd like the shortcut to shut off your PC instead, change the r to a s ) Comments (2)

The restart worked but the shutdown did not.

It did't work for me. It said "file not found"
