faster boot  speed up

The average user only uses a few fonts, to reduce boot time, many of the fonts can be moved out of the main font folder which windows loads when you boot your computer. Note that you won't be able to access these fonts in any programs (ie. Word, WordPerfect, Notepad etc.), however should you want them back all you need to do is simply move the fonts back to their original location and reboot.

Start by Creating a New Folder, by going into My Computer and select a location where you want to keep your "unloaded" fonts. For this example I have chosen the main C: drive.

Navigate to your selected location. Then click File, then New then Folder.

Name the file whatever you want, I chose to name mine Fonts Not Loaded

Now, Click Start, then Control Panel, then Fonts, and select the group of fonts that you want to not load with Windows, then click Edit, then click Copy

Then Navigate to the Folder you just created and click Edit , then Paste

Though the process is true, you forgot to mention that you can arrange the fonts by size so that you can rid the fonts that are large in size (causing the 1/1000th of a mili-second delay)... say for instance, ARIALUNI which is 22,730 KBs or 22.1 MBs or batang which is 15.5 MBs... True Type Fonts are critical fonts because they're used by the system as well as for printing etc... As a gamer/graphX artist/programmer I find these FONTS useless so I don't use them (the heavy ones) or Desktop Icons... I'd say I get irritated if my desktop doesn't load within 4 seconds FLAT!!... "I'm never irritated..."

Font History: What were the first TRUE TYPE FONTs created?...

Ans: TTF - Times Roman, Helvetica and Courier...
